a few nights ago quinn awoke to nurse so i laid on my side and pulled him close. he nestled next to me and never opened his eyes. my back was to mike as he awoke at the same time. he moved closer to me too and put his arm around me. even though little quinn's eyes never opened, he reached out and grabbed hold of mike's finger with his tiny hand and just held it. there i was, sandwiched by the two loves of my life and they were holding on to each other too. it was so sweet. i wish i could hold on to that moment forever.
